Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health(LiSH) rated as 'Outstanding' by Lincolnshire County Council

Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health Service (LiSH) has been rated as 'Outstanding' by Lincolnshire County Council (LCC), who commissions the service.

The report from LCC, published on 9 September 2019 highlights the following categories as ‘Outstanding’ including: ‘Assessment and Support Planning,’ Safeguarding and Protection from Abuse,’ and ‘Clinical Effectiveness.’

Lincolnshire Sexual Health Service launches free at-home STI test kit for young people in the county

A brand new free at-home sexually transmitted infection (STI) test is now available to young people age 15-24 across the county courtesy of Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health Service (LiSH).

By clicking on www.freeandclear.me, the applicant simply answers a short questionnaire and the kit is discreetly delivered to their door within days. The test screens for both chlamydia and gonorrhea.

Dr Sandya Wellwood, Clinical Director of Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer a confidential and easy STI testing option for young people across Lincolnshire who may not be able to access our clinics.

LiSH joins national campaign to highlight relationships, sex and disability

Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health Service (LiSH) will be raising awareness of relationships, sex and disability in support of this year's Sexual Health Week from September 16-22.

Staff from LiSH will be supporting this year's campaign from Brook, a young people’s charity, who are looking to normalise the conversations around sex and disability and supporting professionals to better equip the young people they work with.

A new sexual health service is being launched to provide advice and support to young people in Lincolnshire.

ChatHealth, launched today by Lincolnshire Sexual Health (LiSH), is an easy way for young people, aged 13-19, to confidentially ask for help about a range of sexual health issues by contacting 07520 649893.

LiSH joins national campaign to highlight ‘consent’ around safe sex

Lincolnshire Sexual Health (LiSH) will be promoting and raising awareness of safe sex in support of this year's Sexual Health Week from September 24-30.

Staff from LiSH will be supporting a call by charity The Family Planning Association (FPA), who have themed this year's campaign on promoting more open and frank discussions about consent and sexual health.

The team will be hosting information stands at colleges across the county throughout the week, as well as promoting Sexual Health Week within various sexual health clinics.

A mobile clinic will be touring Lincolnshire to raise awareness of safe sex in support of this year's Sexual Health Week from September 11-17.

Staff from Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health Service (LISH) will be supporting a call by charity The Family Planning Association (FPA), who have themed this year's campaign on promoting more open and frank discussions about safe sex and consent.

Along the mobile community clinic, staff from the Terrence Higgins Trust will be hosting information stands at colleges across the county throughout the week.

Online booking system now available for sexual health appointments in Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire residents in need of a sexual health appointment can now book in to their local clinic online.

The new online booking system allows new and existing patients to access appointments across the county for the forthcoming 48 hour period.

Once registered, users will be able to choose the right type of appointment for their needs, including testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) with or without symptoms, Fly-Bye clinics, HIV testing and routine and emergency contraception. All contraception provision will be dependent on full clinical assessment.

New telephone number for Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health Service

The telephone number patients use to contact sexual health services in Lincolnshire is changing to improve access. 

A new telephone system, which allows multiple lines to take calls at any one time, has been installed within the service. The new number is 01522 309309 and will replace the existing number from Monday, 3 April. 

The Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health (LISH) service provides a flexible, non-judgemental and confidential service to anyone who needs it for sexually transmitted infection/HIV advice, screening, treatment and contraceptive health needs.

Additional Sexual Health clinic available in Lincoln

Patients needing sexual health advice and treatment can soon access an additional clinic running in Lincoln.

Booked appointments and some walk-in appointments will be available every Wednesday from 1pm-3.30pm at Lincoln Walk-In Centre, on Monks Road, from Wednesday, November 30.

Dedicated Sexual Health Website Launched

Safer sex, contraception and advice about sexually transmitted infections are just some of the topics covered on the newly launched dedicated sexual health website.

This new addition of the Lincolnshire Healthy Families websites has been launched by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS).

The sexual health website covers a variety of topics including HIV and a guide to the countywide service, as well as information on what clinics are available. It also includes information on how you can look after your sexual health, all of which has been written by NHS professionals.

LiSH joins national campaign to highlight ‘consent’ around safe sex

A new sexual health service, led by the school nursing team of Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS), is now available to young people in Boston.

Every Tuesday between 3:30 and 4:30pm at Boston Health Clinic, Lincolnshire residents aged between 13 and 19 years can seek sexual health advice and support at drop-in clinics led by LCHS school nurses and sexual health team.
